Daha sonra un yedire yedire katılır. Çok yumuşak bir hamur elde edilir. Elde edilen hamurdan bir parça ayrılır. Kalan hamur tepsiye yayılır. Etrafı yükseltilip ortası bastırılır. Havuz şeklini alan hamur hava alması için bir yemek kaşığı nişasta tepsiye delinir. Daha sonra şeftalinin akan suyunu çekmesi için bir yemek kaşığı nişasta tepsiye yayılan hamurun üzerine serpiştirilir. Portakal dilimleri şeklinde kesilen şeftaliler hamurun üzerine tamamı ile kapatılacak şekilde sıra sıra dizilir. Daha önce ayrılan yarım bardak şeker şeftalilerin üzerine serpiştirilir. Ayırdığımız hamur ince şeritler halinde hazırlanır. Şeftalilerin üzerine iki parmak aralıklarla dizilir. Eriyince içine 1 bardak su konur. Su kaynayınca tuz ve şeker ilave edilir. Tencere ocakta iken unda konulur. Hızlı hızlı karıştırılarak 5 dakika helva gibi kavrularak pişirilir. Ocaktan alınıp soğumaya bırakılır. Soğuyunca 4 yumurta teker teker kırılıp, (her biri 3-4 dakika ezilerek) hamura yedirilir. Bir tatlı kaşığı her seferinde suya batırılarak hamurdan ceviz büyüklüğünde parçalar alınıp, çok az sıvı yağ ile yağlanmış tepsiye 2 cm. ara ile dizilir. Önceden ısıtılmış 175 derece turbo fırında, orta rafta üstü hafif pembeleşinceye kadar hiç açmadan pişirilir. Fırının kapağı hiç açılmadan soğuması beklenir. Kremanın yapılışı Margarin eritilir. İçine un konur. 3 dakika kavrulur. Ocaktan alınıp, içine şeker ilave edilir ve karıştırılır. Sonra süt eklenir. Sürekli karıştırılarak pişirilir. Soğuyunca 1 paket vanilya eklenip 10-15 dakika çırpılır. Profiterolün yapılışı Daha önce pişen hamurların içi üste doğru hafifçe kesilir. Krema kaşıkla içine doldurulur. Kalan kremanın içine yarım çay bardağı su ile 1 yemek kaşığı kakao konur ve ocakta pişirilir. Pişirilirken içine 1 paket çikolata atılır. Daha sonra profiterolün üstüne sıcak olarak dökülür. İşte çiğköftenin doğuş öyküsü, Hz. İbrahim dönemine dayandırılmaktadır. Hz. ibrahim, devrin kralı Nemrud'un putlarını kırarak, Allah'ın varlığına inanmaya davet edince Nemrut öfkelenir ve Hz. İbrahim'in ateşe atılmasını emreder. Böylece büyük bir ateş yakmak üzere yöredeki bütün odunlar toplanır. Nemrut evlerde ateş yakmayı da yasaklar. Halk ateş yakmadan nasıl yemek yapacağını düşünür durur. İşte bu günlerde bir Urfalı avcı, avladığı ceylanı eve getirerek hanımından yemek yapmasını ister. Hanım evde odun bulunmadığını söyler. Çevrede toplanacak bir tek dal odun dahi kalmamıştır. Avcı, çoluk çocuğun aç kalmaması için hanımından bir çare bulmasını ister. Bunun üzerine kadın, ceylanın budundan yağsız et çıkararak bir taş üzerinde başka bir taşla döverek ezmeye başlar. Sonra ezilmiş eti bulgur, biber ve tuzla karıştırarak yoğurur, bahçesinden topladığı yeşil soğan ve maydanozla karıştırarak sofraya getirir. Böylece o leziz ve tadına doyulmaz "çiğköfte" meydana gelir. Hz.
